Problems in re-industrialization potential assessment in the Russian Federation and the Volga Federal District

The article presents the main results of re-industrialization potential analysis of the Rus-sian Federation on the basis of 14 indices, obtained by normalization of basic parameters characterizing the state of fixed assets and investments for the period 2005-2015 in Federal districts. The present work is a continuation of the study of re-industrialization theory and practice, aimed at ensuring efficiency and competitiveness of the Russian economy. The economic policy being implemented currently in Russia is not conducive to re-industrialization, namely, to renewal of fixed assets on a qualitatively new, modernization basis. The time-tested method can be used in assessing the potential of re-industrialization both for individual regions and for the Russian Federation at large.
