University charter and its functions in the real sector of economy

The article is aimed at studying the functioning of the university statute from the perspective of real sector of economy on the basis of multi-profile Chuvash State University named after I.N. Ulianov. It is proved that the university charter is a multifunctional document. A logical process of its functional evolution has been revealed: being created for practical use in the higher educational institution’s activities, the university statute takes into account the requirements of the country's social and economic development and contains detailed information on organizing university-industrial contacts, their directions, legal, financial support as well as that of intellectual security in this field.
